Research Desk · for import and export traders
A research desk for import and export traders.
Research is one of our twelve agents. For a small import or export business, it checks the suppliers and buyers you name each week, lists the public information it finds with a link for each item, and drafts the next email for you to approve. Nothing is sent until you approve it.
Now taking our first Research Desk clients. Your desk is set up during onboarding, and the first weekly brief starts once your setup has been tested.
A week with the Research Desk
An example week for a sample importer. Illustration only, not client data; the companies named are fictional.
- Monday brief (8:00). The assistant researches the suppliers and buyers you named: for example Northfield Housewares Co. (sample), 3 findings with sources linked; Kestrel Steelware Ltd. (sample), 2 findings. Where nothing was found (for example price lists for one company), it says so.
- Drafts arrive (8:05). It drafts the outreach for you, for example to [email protected], subject "Stainless bowls for a Canadian retailer": "Hello, we saw your stainless mixing bowls…". Nothing has gone out.
- You approve (9:12). Approve, edit or drop each draft. You decide; the assistant does not.
- Sent (9:13). Only approved drafts are sent, from your own account.
- Approval log (Friday). The log shows what was drafted, what you approved and what was sent.
One enquiry, start to finish
Illustration · sample trading office, not client data.
A supplier enquiry arrives in a sample trading office inbox: "Re: stainless bowls, price for 500 units?" from Northfield Housewares (sample). The assistant drafts a reply, with the facts it used linked to their sources: "Thank you. For 500 units we can confirm a price after checking your published minimum order [source] and the lead time on your product page [source]." The owner opens it on a phone, changes one line to "We will send a price by Wednesday." and taps Approve. The email goes out from the owner's own account, and the approval log updates: drafted, approved, sent.
Try a sample brief
Sample brief (example data)
Stainless steel kitchen bowls
A fictional Vancouver importer asks for a short supplier-landscape brief. The result is pre-written example data that shows the format of a brief: fictional companies, placeholder links, nothing verified. Nothing is sent.
What it covers
Every finding has a link. For each supplier or buyer you name, the report lists the public information found, with a link for each item. Where nothing was found, the report says so.
It keeps running: scheduled research on the companies, tenders and news you choose, with a drafted next step each time. The report is a starting point for your own decisions.
What it won't do
- It reports what public sources say, with links; it does not judge, rate or certify any company, and it is not a compliance service.
- We do not give legal, customs, tariff or sanctions advice.
- The AI can miss things or get them wrong, so you check the sources.
